Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 14, 2026

This policy describes what this Site actually does, not a generic template. This Site sets no cookies, uses no local or session storage, runs no analytics or tag manager, carries no advertising pixels, has no accounts, takes no payment, and has no form of any kind — you contact us through links that open your own email, text-message, or phone app, and where the Site links out to another service, including our ordering page, that service is one we do not operate and its own terms and privacy notice apply. If any of that changes, we will update this policy before the change goes live.

1. About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Amelia’s Catering Kitchen & Events LLC (“Amelia’s,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information in connection with this website (the “Site”) and the messages customers send us.

2. The short version

This Site is a simple informational website. It does not have accounts, a checkout, or a form. It does not use cookies, advertising pixels, or website analytics. It does not create orders and it cannot take payment. When you contact us, you do so from your own phone or email app, and we receive your message the same way we would receive any other text or email.

If you order through our ordering provider, that order and its payment are handled by that provider — not by this Site. Section 6 explains what that means.

3. What this Site does not do

As of the effective date above, this Site does not:

  • use cookies, local storage, session storage, advertising pixels, or website analytics;
  • offer accounts, logins, or profiles;
  • host or embed a form of any kind;
  • collect or store card numbers or payment information;
  • create, record, or store an order; or
  • build a customer list, profile, or marketing database from your visit.

If any of this changes, we will update this policy before the change goes live.

4. Information you choose to send us

The Site’s contact links open your own text-message or email application. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it, and it is sent from your own phone number or email address, through your own mobile carrier or email provider, under that provider’s own terms and privacy practices. We do not control and cannot see your device, your carrier, or your email provider.

When you send us a message, call us, or talk to us, we receive what you choose to tell us. That may include your name, phone number, email address, the items you are asking about, your event date, guest count, event location, service preferences, any dietary information you choose to share, and your questions or messages.

We receive and keep those messages the way any small business does — in our phone, our email, and our business records.

5. Information our hosting provider may process

Like nearly every website, the Site is delivered by a hosting provider. A hosting provider typically processes basic technical information needed to deliver and protect a website, and it does so under its own terms and privacy notice.

We do not use that technical information to identify you, and we do not use it for advertising. If you would like to know who our hosting provider is so that you can read its privacy notice, please ask us using the details in Section 15 and we will tell you.

6. If you order through our ordering provider

We use Clover as our point-of-sale provider, and — where online ordering is available — as our online-ordering provider.

When you place an order online through Clover, you place it with Clover, not with this Site. When that happens:

  • Clover collects your order details and your payment information directly, under Clover’s own terms and privacy notice.
  • We do not collect or store your card number on this Site.
  • We receive from Clover the information we need to prepare and fulfil your order — typically your name, your contact details, the items you ordered, your pickup or delivery choice, and the amount paid.
  • Clover’s handling of your information is governed by Clover’s own privacy notice, which we do not control. We cannot summarise it for you, and we do not speak for Clover. Please read it before you order — Clover publishes it on its own website, and we will point you to it if you ask us.

7. How we use information

We use what you send us to: respond to you; prepare, discuss, confirm, and fulfil an order or a catering or event request; answer questions about availability, pricing, and service; keep our business records; and meet legal or tax obligations.

We do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

8. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising.

We may share information with:

  • service providers who help us run our business — for example our hosting provider, our email or phone provider, and our point-of-sale and ordering provider — and only as needed for them to provide that service;
  • others where required by law, or where necessary to protect our rights, our customers’ safety, or the security of our business.

9. Third-party platforms

If you find us through, or interact with us on, a third-party platform — a search engine, a maps or business-profile listing, a review platform, or social media — that platform handles your information under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Reviews and ratings you leave on such a platform are held by that platform, not by us.

10. How long we keep information

We keep messages and business records only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, our business and tax records, and any legal obligation.

If you would like us to delete something you have sent us, ask us — Section 12 explains what we can and cannot do.

11. Security

We use reasonable care to protect the information we hold. No method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Because our customer messages arrive as ordinary texts and emails on our own devices and accounts, our protections are the ordinary ones: keeping our devices and accounts secured and limiting who can see them.

12. Your choices

You can contact us at any time to ask what information you have sent us, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, and we will do what we reasonably can.

Three honest limits. First, we cannot delete a message from your phone, your carrier’s records, or your email provider’s records — only you or they can. Second, information we are required to keep for tax, accounting, or legal reasons, we have to keep. Third, where an order was placed through our ordering provider, that provider holds its own records under its own policy, and you would need to contact it about those.

13. Children

The Site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Please do not send us a child’s personal information through the Site. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete what we hold, subject to the limits in Section 12.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, the Site’s features, or our providers change. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated. We will update this policy before launching any online ordering or online payment feature on the Site.
